I just want to say thank you for being here! Whatever part of my life you’re in, I’m so blessed to have the encouragement and support from you! If you are in my R+F family, if I’ve been blessed to help you on your wedding day, or if you are just a follower that can learn a few things from me! Thank you!
Sometimes it feels like you’re just living day after day with not knowing what the heck you’re doing. Am I right? I feel this way all the time. What I’ve found is that God lays out stepping stones for you! One stone at a time, one day at a time. He guides you along your journey with each step you take. When 2018 started, I had no idea that I would have a blog, or a new wedding business. Those thoughts hadn’t even crossed my mind.
Believe it or not, my friend Elise and I had actually schedule a boudoir photoshoot in January!! (Sorry Dad!) We both chickened out, but I still kept the appointment and thought I could just get some headshots done! Little did I know that those photos were going to be the branding for LindsayKooser.com
Veil Events was an idea that I had at the beginning of August 2018 and I launched it October 10, 2018. Seems crazy and people have said “Lindsay, How did you do it?” or “You make it look so easy”. What people don’t see on social media or my email blast are the BABY STEPS taken every single day to make things happen.
Going all the way back to when I got my associates degree in Graphic Design, has prepared me for this moment of my life. The time I learned floral design, or the other 10 websites I’ve made in the past for myself or clients. I loved photography and a while back I bought a light kit, which I used for my Veil Training videos! I taught myself how to use iMovie and how to do Digital Marketing, becuase I knew that was important if you own a business. I’ve been a business owner for 8 years.
It’s not an over night success. It’s years of doing little task over and over again, day after day. Meeting new people, building relationships, doing everything it takes to hit your goal. Doing the things that others won’t do. Each day is a stepping stone to your future. Have a conversation with God, and allow him to take you on the journey he meant for you to have. Have faith and trust the process, he is working in you even when you don’t know it.
Cheers to a new year, with new dreams, goals and a fresh start! My word this year is Consistency. I think I’ve had this same word for a few years now, but I know it’s the little steps taken each day that will get you to where you want to go. Don’t stop, just start and keep going.
Let’s crush this year friends!
