Jared and I announced last week that we are expecting a baby boy! We are so excited for this next big adventure! This October we will be married for 10 years, so it’s been a long time just us two! We can’t wait to make it three!!
I remember the exact day I prayed for a baby and I remember God telling me it’s time for me to be a Mother to a baby boy. I cried, because I had never prayed that prayer before. God’s timing is always so perfect and always better than we could ever expect. I am a planner and I sometimes think my way is the only way, but it’s not. We are putting God first on this journey to parenthood.
We got a positive pregnancy test on January 16th which was also my Mom’s 60th Birthday. Of course we had to tell her that day, so we invited her and my dad over. You’re probably expecting something super creative from me, but I literally just wrapped the pee stick and had her open it.???????????????? Not creative at all, I was still in shock mode. We also were shocked to hear that my due date was my BFF’s birthday!! (Elise – Sept 17th)
We’ve been having fun telling our friends and family our news and we are just so thankful for all the love and support from every single one of you! When the doctors office called to tell me the gender, I knew it would be during the day when I wasn’t with Jared so I planned on surprising him. After the call I ran to Party America and bought everything blue! When he came home for lunch he was surprised to see a full BLUE kitchen! Even Tilly and Khloe were wearing blue! He said “Now this is a great gender reveal and this is the best day of my life.” ????????????????
As I’m typing this I am about 15 weeks! Excited for the next 6 months of my pregnancy journey! Boy has it already been tough, but I know it will be worth it.
