This was tough…… we bought this house knowing the backyard needed a lot of work. Like a lot!! We finally picked up a shovel and got to work!
There’s not much to say about it except our dear friend Aaron helped us so much!! Check out Nelson Lawn Care, he helped get rid of all of the sticks, weeds, leaves, trees and also filled in our pond that was disgusting! Yes there was a little pond! We laid down sod for our puppies, which was an experience! Jared and I figured out how to grow grass together. 🙂
Our goal was to have the backyard done by Jared’s 30th birthday party and we did it! The day of his actual birthday Brad (Jared’s brother) came over and helped me put up all the furniture, lights and completed the project before Jared got home from work to surprise him! It was a CRAZY day, I ran to Target like a mad women and got all those cushions and pieces of decor! Sometimes being on a deadline is best for making decisions. We got it done and he was so surprised. Jared’s party turned out great too!
